| Marat Bakhramov and Jotunheimens Staller are based at Good News Farm in Barnesville, MD. Conveniently located in Montgomery County, Good News Farm is ideally situated within an hour of Washington DC, Baltimore, Frederick, and Leesburg, VA. This makes it the ideal base for students and competitors, as the farm is easily accessible and most show grounds are within a short driving distance. |
| JS intentionally outsources the care of Marat's personal horses as well as horses in training to the experienced staff at Good News Farm, and Good News Farm has stalls available for Jotunheimens Staller clients. Because of this special feature, Marat is able focus entirely on training - a benefit to you and your horse. |
| The JS horses receive world-class care, and professional and dedicated staff give each horse personal attention and learn their normal behaviors so any issues are spotted immediately. The facility includes 2 stables built in the rural New England style with large boxes that are cleaned 4 times daily. Horses are fed up to 4 times daily, and any special feed requirements are easily accommodated. By request, horses are handwalked or lunged by trained staff daily to ensure their health and well-being. |
| JS boasts a state-of-the-art physical therapy program for the equine athlete. We have an on-call equine masseuse and Reiki Master as well as twice yearly sessions with a popular German equine chiropractor. |
|
The large indoor arena, comprised of rubber and sand footing, has a watering system, and is dragged daily to protect the equine athlete from injury. There is also a 200' x 300' outdoor arena with jumps and trails for eventers. |
